Hello! My name is Harshan Nalaka, and I am proud to serve as the Interim Assistant Principal and Assistant Headteacher for Inclusion at GEMS Founders School. After seven rewarding years here, I am excited to continue supporting our school’s progression from Very Good to Outstanding.
I hold a B.Ed in Special Education and Teaching from The Open University of Sri Lanka, as well as a BA in teaching methodology and linguistics from Sri Jayawardenapura University. Additionally, I completed my PGCE in Special Education from Anglia Ruskin University, UK, and recently earned a Master of Education in Leadership from Liverpool John Moores University, UK. I also hold the CPT3A Qualification from Real Training, UK, and I am currently pursuing my National Professional Qualification for Headship.
With over 15 years of experience in education in Dubai, I am deeply committed to creating the best possible learning environment for all students. My goal is to provide opportunities that allow each student to reach their full potential, regardless of their individual needs. I am dedicated to fostering an inclusive and supportive atmosphere where every student can thrive.
In my free time, I stay updated on the latest trends in Education around the world, and I enjoy reading, traveling, and spending time in nature.
