Innovation

Innovation at GFS

At GFS, innovation means empowering our students with the tools and opportunities to think creatively, solve real-world problems, and engage deeply in their learning. We embrace technology, allowing students to bring their own devices (BYOD) and utilise a variety of EdTech platforms like Seesaw, CENTURY, Power Maths, Bug Club, Numbots, and Education City to enhance their learning experience.

Our school is equipped with a wide range of technologies, including fully equipped ICT labs, iPads, and various learning technologies that support innovative teaching and learning. Our approach includes project-based and enquiry learning, fostering collaboration, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving. Through initiatives such as the Adam Burfield Enterprise Award, F1 in Schools, and our bespoke Entrepreneurship curriculum, students connect with real businesses, tackle industry challenges, and develop future-ready skills. Our Global Futures Curriculum and enrichment days further inspire students to showcase their creativity, imagination, and problem-solving abilities, preparing them to thrive in an ever-changing world.
