Reading Across the Curriculum Leader – Secondary Arabic

My name is Marwa Abdallah from Egypt. I graduated from the College of Education with bachelor degree in 2006. I have been now teaching for 13 years. I am absolutely honored to be Arabic B teacher for secondary this year and a leader of reading across curriculum (secondary).I think that teaching Arabic to non- native speakers is a big challenge and must be creative, so we always try to make Arabic relatable by linking it to a social context and everyday activities. Reading is a foundational skill which enriching our students vocabulary and engraining Arabic structures, accordingly we help them to get really good at reading through holding reading competitions inside the classroom and  at the school level as a whole.
